Everybody Can Be Great Because Everybody Can Serve

THE WALLS PROJECT

Jan 17, 8:00 AM – Jan 20, 4:00 PM

The Walls Project started out as a 1-day event on MLK Day Monday, January 2015 and has grown into a festival of service, spanning the entire weekend of MLK Day. This event was created to revitalize and reactivate neighborhoods in Baton Rouge with the help of volunteers. This year the efforts will be focused on a section of Plank Road from Choctaw Drive to Winbourne Ave. The festival is about collective community impact. By coordinating the service work of over 200 organizations, people are capable of harnessing the power of 5,000 volunteers to help reactive a neighborhood. Join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Nu Gamma Omega Chapter for a day of service in the community. Foundation Members will check-In across from the Renaissance Center, 2783 Plank Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70805. https://www.thewallsproject.org/events-1/mlk-fest-2020
